Nars All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation Review

What is it:

The Nars All Day Luminous Foundation claims to be made for all skin types.  It’s supposed to be a full coverage foundation that gives a natural finish. It comes in twenty shades, which isn’t terrible but not amazing either.  It has a tone correcting technology that helps get rid of redness, cover dullness, and discolouration. The foundation claims to last 16 hours and is sweat resistant. It’s formulated without parabens,  oil, and is dermatologist tested.  According to the Sephora.com, you are supposed to shake the product before using it and use your fingertips to apply the product. Here in Canada, you can purchase this product at Sephora or Murale.

Nars Foundation Pros:

narsswatch, nars foundation
Shade: Punjab

If you like a matte foundation I think you will like this foundation. I personally don’t like a matte finish, I prefer a dewier finish. However, I do like how this foundation sits on the skin. The product has a very thin consistency and feels very lightweight on the skin. In order to prevent looking like a cakey mess use a brush to apply the product. A brush spreads out the product more evenly giving it a more of a natural finish. I found that the beauty blender absorbed way too much of the product and caused me to add more layers making look cakey rather than seamless. The product does an amazing job of covering dark spots and discolouration.  The foundation doesn’t have a luminous finish in my opinion but looks natural in such a beautiful way. I prefer using a more moisturizing base so the foundation looks more luminous.

Nars Foundation Cons:

Even after powdering,  I found that I was still getting oily in my tea zone so I do have to touch up with it. In addition, the product separates around the corners of my nose and just looks weird around my nose.  Overall,  I don’t love this foundation as much as their Nars Sheer Glow foundation.  I would recommend this foundation if you like a natural semi-matte finish.
