What it is:
The Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Cover stick foundation claims to be full coverage and is supposed to give you a natural finish. It is supposed to be made for all skin types, but according to Sephora.com, this foundation is best suited for dry skin. This foundation claims to be long-lasting and has the ability to make your skin look hydrated and evens out your complexion. You can also use this foundation to contour by purchasing a shade that is two shades darker than your skin tone. They have 20 shades. I originally wanted to buy the Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation stick, because the beauty community on YouTube has raved about that foundation. However, I couldn’t find the right shade to match my skin tone when I went to Sephora so instead, I bought this foundation in the shade 118 = Y325 – Flesh. If you live in Canada you can purchase this foundation at Sephora.
I prefer using a brush to blend in this foundation, it’s much faster than using a beauty blender. Once everything is blended out you get a really pretty natural finish. Most of the time I have combination skin, but since the weather is cold right now my skin is really dry, so I really like how this foundation looks on me. I do get oily in my t-zone after five hours or so, so I do have to touch up with it. If you do have oily skin using a more mattifying primer or mattifying setting spray might be a better option for you. It has medium coverage but you can definitely build it up if you prefer a more full coverage look. I personally like using just enough to even out my skin tone, and then I like going in with a full coverage concealer on the areas that need it. The foundation definitely does last for a very long time and looks amazing photos. I’m really considering repurchasing this foundation.
Just be careful if you’re somebody that tends to touch your face a lot because it does rub off. I do think they could have some more darker shades.
