I Tried The Summer Fridays Flushed Lip Stain: Here’s My Honest Review

Lip stains have been having a major moment lately—and honestly, it makes sense. They’re easy, low-maintenance, and give that effortless “your lips but better” look that fits perfectly into the clean girl aesthetic. I’ve been testing out the Summer Fridays Flushed Lip Stain 12HR Long-Lasting Lip Tint, and I’m here to report on whether it’s actually good or not. From first impressions to wear time, I’m breaking it all down—so read on to see how it applies, how it wears throughout the day, and if it’s really worth the hype. And as a beauty editor who gets to test a lot of products, it takes quite a bit for something to stand out—but this one definitely caught my attention.

How It Wears:

They feel so nostalgic to apply because it genuinely feels like you’re colouring with markers. The colour payoff is really good, too. I especially love the shades Almond and Mocha, but what stands out the most is how incredibly long-lasting they are. Even after eating Chinese takeout, there was still some product left on my lips, which honestly impressed me. I usually like to use them more as a lip liner rather than all over my lips.

Who Would Like This Product?

This is perfect for someone who’s always in a quick rush but still wants a long-lasting lip product that will hold up for most of the day. If you’re into the clean girl aesthetic and just want a subtle wash of colour on your lips, this fits right in. It’s also great if you like layering—using it for that soft stain and then adding a gloss on top.

Is It Worth The Money?

At $29, I do think they’re priced a bit better than many lip stains currently sold at Sephora, especially since you’re getting the standard amount most high-end lip tints come with. That said, I’ll be honest—there are definitely some drugstore options that perform just as well, if not better, depending on what you’re looking for.

I also have to say, I’m a fan of the Summer Fridays brand, so that definitely plays into it. If you already love their clean, minimal aesthetic, this feels very on-brand and worth trying. The formula is long-lasting, comfortable, and easy to use, so for me, it does justify the price a bit more than some other higher-end lip stains.
