The Dior Lip Glow Oil has been one of those beauty products that’s stayed consistently viral for years. From TikTok makeup routines to “what’s in my bag” videos, it feels like everyone has pulled one of these glossy little tubes out at some point. Known for its ultra-glossy finish, luxe packaging, and “your lips but better” effect, the lip oil has built a reputation as one of the most coveted luxury lip products on the market. But with so many lip oils now available at every price point, the question is: is it actually worth the hype and the price tag? As a beauty editor who gets to test a lot of makeup products, I’m sharing how the Dior Lip Glow Oil wears and feels on the lips, and whether it really stands out from the rest.
How It Wears:
The Dior Lip Glow Oils feel ultra-glossy and hydrating on the lips without feeling sticky or heavy. One thing I really love is the oversized doe-foot applicator, which makes the product super easy to apply evenly in just one swipe. They give the lips a smoother, fuller-looking appearance with a stunning glossy finish. The formula is also marketed as reacting to your lips’ pH level to create a custom tint, although personally, I’m not fully convinced that claim makes a huge difference.
The lip oils have been popular for years now and come in three different finishes: shimmer, sheer, and high shine. I have the shimmer finish in the shade Spicy, which has beautiful pink and gold reflects throughout, and the high-shine finish in the shade Latte, which gives more of a glossy nude look.
Who Would Like This Product?
People who prefer a more natural lip look would probably enjoy the Dior Lip Glow Oil the most. If you don’t like a ton of pigment on the lips and gravitate toward glossy, hydrated-looking finishes, this product fits perfectly into that “your lips but better” category. It’s also a great option for people with dry lips since the formula feels nourishing and comfortable throughout the day. And honestly, if you have bougie taste in lip products and love that luxury beauty experience, from the packaging to the glossy finish, this is definitely one of those lip products that feels extra chic to pull out of your bag.
Is It Worth The Money?
With the Dior Lip Glow Oil, part of what you’re paying for is definitely the brand name and designer beauty packaging. I’ll admit I’m a little biased because I genuinely love the brand, but for me, it’s one of those products that feels more like a luxury beauty treat rather than just a basic lip product.
