Can Huda Beauty’s latest complexion product really give you flawless-looking skin? In a TikTok video, CEO Huda Kattan revealed that after ditching Photoshop and filters in 2021, she set out to create a foundation that delivers a filter-like blur in real life. The result? A foundation that promises medium to buildable coverage, an ultra-blurring effect, and an airbrushed finish. But does it actually live up to the hype? Naturally, I had to put it to the test!
How It Wears:
Before I share my thoughts on Huda Beauty’s Easy Blur Natural Airbrush Foundation, I want to share that I don’t have lots of texture or acne. I have combination skin with hyperpigmentation and large pores in certain areas of my face.
After using the foundation multiple times now, it feels very lightweight, and I love how buildable the formula is. I’ve applied the foundation after using both Huda Beauty’s Easy Blur Silicone-Free Smoothing & Pore-Minimizing Primer as well as the e.l.f. Cosmetics Illuminating Putty Primer (one that I’ve used for a very long time), and I have to say that I preferred the e.l.f primer.
My t-zone area did get slightly oily after five hours but that happens with most foundations for me because I don’t like using lots of powder. I touch up throughout the day when needed.
The foundation looked incredibly smooth on the skin and has a natural finish. Since I like medium coverage, it still looked like I was wearing makeup on my skin, which is expected. I do think the foundation gives a subtle blur-like effect. Whenever my pores look minimized, and my skin appears smooth in the mirror, I notice a seamless blend that creates that soft, blurred effect.

Does The Foundation Live Up To Its Claims?
When Huda introduced the “EASY ROUTINE” for this foundation—prime, blur, and bake—I found the use of the word blur particularly interesting. While it’s clear she’s highlighting the product’s features, it’s worth noting that no foundation can truly blur the skin the way an editing tool does. When you use a blurring tool on an image or video, it softens the area, making texture or imperfections nearly vanish. A foundation can help cover and even out the skin, but it won’t make texture or acne magically disappear. It covers the area it, doesn’t erase it.
In the video, she mentioned that the more you apply, the more it blurs the skin, but it won’t make texture disappear completely. That said, the foundation looks absolutely beautiful on the skin, and I’ve been reaching for it consistently ever since I got it!
Who Would Like This product?
This foundation can work for all skin types. If you’re someone who likes a lighter coverage all you would have to do is use less product and the foundation will still look good. If you have oily skin as long as you have powdered the appropriate amount then you would enjoy this foundation as well.
Is It Worth The Money?
100%! I think 50$ for 30ml is a great price. There’s been some online chatter about the brand’s packaging being “cheap” because it’s plastic instead of glass. Personally, I’d prefer a high-quality product at a reasonable price over a fancy bottle any day!
