Cream blush isn’t a new category, but beauty brands continue to launch new formulas that promise something different. Prada Beauty is the latest to enter the space with its Touch Cream to Powder Soft Blur Blush.
As someone who loves a blush that looks natural rather than overly powdery, I was curious to see whether this one lived up to the hype—especially with its $59 CAD price tag and all the online discussion surrounding its packaging. Does it really stand out from the dozens of cream blushes already on the market, or are you mostly paying for the Prada name?

After putting the Prada Beauty Touch Cream to Powder Soft Blur Blush to the test, here’s everything you need to know before deciding whether it’s worth adding to your makeup bag.
How It Wears:
This blush definitely lives up to its claims. The creamy formula blends like a dream and drys down to a soft, powder-like finish. While it delivers noticeable pigment, the color payoff isn’t overwhelmingly intense right away. Instead, it’s buildable, making it easy to control how much blush you want—a finish I personally prefer since I like to gradually build up color on my cheeks.
I tested the shade Dahlia, a beautiful nude pink that gives the complexion a soft, natural-looking flush. Once blended, the blush creates the blurred, soft-matte effect Prada promises, leaving skin looking smooth rather than flat. It also wears well throughout the day without looking patchy or emphasizing texture.
The Packaging:
The packaging has sparked plenty of conversation online. At $59 CAD, many shoppers expected a heavier, more luxe-looking compact, but the blush is made from plastic instead of metal.
Personally, I don’t mind plastic packaging. In fact, I prefer it in some cases because I’m constantly dropping my makeup, and I’d rather not have a compact shatter into a million pieces. I also like Prada’s signature triangular design and the soft pink color—it stands out in my makeup bag and feels true to the brand’s aesthetic.
That said, the triangular pan isn’t the most practical. My blush brush was slightly too large and didn’t fit in the pan, so I ended up picking up product around the edges and making the area outside the pan look messy after a few uses.
While I think the packaging is attractive and functional, it doesn’t quite feel as luxurious as I’d expect from a $59 blush. It looks beautiful, but the lightweight plastic construction doesn’t deliver the premium feel that typically comes with a luxury beauty purchase.
Who Would Like This Product?
If you love blush but prefer a buildable formula over one that’s intensely pigmented from the first swipe, I think you’ll really enjoy this one. The cream-to-powder texture makes it easy to layer, so you can create anything from a soft wash of color to a more noticeable flush without worrying about over applying.
It’s also a great option if you’re drawn to high-end beauty brands and appreciate luxury makeup. While the packaging may not look as lavish as some other luxury blushes, the formula delivers on its promises.
I also think makeup artists would appreciate this blush. Because the pigment is buildable, it’s easier to customize for different skin tones and makeup looks, giving you more control during application. Whether you’re creating a barely-there flush or a more sculpted cheek, the formula is forgiving and easy to work with.
Is It Worth The Money?
At $59 CAD for 0.12 oz (3.5 g), there’s no getting around it—this is an expensive blush. Part of what you’re paying for is the formula, but you’re also paying for the Prada name.
If you’re a blush lover, enjoy collecting high-end makeup, or don’t mind splurging on luxury beauty products, I do think it’s worth considering. The cream-to-powder formula performs well, blends beautifully, and delivers the soft-focus finish it promises.
That said, I wouldn’t call it a must-have. There are plenty of excellent blushes at lower price points that can give you a beautiful finish. If you’re shopping on a budget, I don’t think you’re missing out by skipping this one. But if you appreciate luxury makeup and want a well-executed, buildable blush that looks nice, the Prada Beauty Touch Cream to Powder Soft Blur Blush is a purchase I don’t think you’ll regret.
