The Blush Diaries: Putting Huda Beauty’s Blush Filters to the Test

Welcome to The Blush Diaries—a series where I put every blush I can get my hands on to the test, because when it comes to blush, more is always better! For the first edition of The Blush Diaries I put Huda Beauty’s Blush Filter Soft Glow Liquid Blushes to the test. The brand recently came out with a new shade called Ube Cream. It’s a pastel lilac shade that’s apart of their Ube collection launch, with the star of the collection being their new shade of Easy Bake Blurring Loose Setting Powder in Ube Birthday cake (a purple powder! But we’ll talk about that later). Since I’m blush obsessed I tested two shades one being Ube Cream and the other being Cotton Candy. So if you’re curious about how Huda Beauty’s Blush Filters perform keep reading to find out if they are worth the money.

How It Wears:

Huda Beauty’s Blush Filters have a sheer but buildable formula. The blushes blend seamlessly into the skin and you can build up the colour to your liking. They also give the cheeks a pretty glow.

Hey Blush lovers! 💕 I’m testing out the @HudaBeauty Blush Filters—which shade do you think looked better on me: Ube Cream or Cotton Candy? 🍦💜 This is the first edition of The Blush Diaries, where I try as many blushes as I can get my hands on—because when it comes to blush, more is always better, am I right? Although the shade Ube Cream didn’t look bad on me the pastel purple is not a shade I would normally go for. I feel like more of a plum purple would suit my medium neutral undertone. However, I am obsessed with how the Cotton Candy looks on my skintone. It’s described as a baby pink on Sephora’s website but it has more of a peachy undertone in my opinion.

Who would like this product?

If you’re somebody that is always in a rush and needs to do their makeup fast then you want a product that blends in seconds and these blushes do just that. You also don’t have to worry about applying too much when you’re going in with your initial application.

They have a range of shades that are suitable for different skin tones and is a good product for both a natural glam or a full-coverage makeup look.

Is It Worth The Money?

I enjoy these cream blushes and have been using the Cotton Candy shade ever since I tried it. You get 0.15 ounces for $32 which is a mid-range price compared to higher end makeup brands.
