There’s something about a good blush that instantly makes you look more awake, healthier, and put together, even on no-makeup days. I’ve been deep in my blush-testing era lately, trying everything from viral launches to luxury favourites, and that journey led me to this comparison. As part of The Blush Diaries, I’m taking a closer look at the Dior and Charlotte Tilbury blush sticks to break down the real differences between them.
Dior Rosy Glow Blush Stick
Dior’s blush stick is super creamy and has a very dewy finish. The formula adapts to your skin’s pH, meaning the colour subtly shifts to create a custom flush that looks natural rather than overly pigmented. They have a sheer colour payoff, which you can build up to your liking.
It reflects light softly, enhancing the cheekbones in a way that feels very effortless, polished, and modern. If power blush isn’t applied on top, it almost looks glossy on the cheeks. Read my full, detailed review of the blush here.
Charlotte Tilbury Unreal Lip + Cheek Glow Blush Stick
Charlotte Tilbury’s blush sticks have a more glowy finish. The formula is creamy, easy to blend, and more pigmented than the Dior blush. Unlike Dior, this isn’t pH-reactive; what you see in the stick is what you get on the skin.
The result is a more glowy than dewy look that can look more glam while still being wearable for everyday use. Read my full review on the blush here.
Ingredient Breakdown
Dior
Dior’s formula relies on:
- Emollients like squalane and hydrogenated polydecene for smooth application
- Natural waxes (beeswax, carnauba wax) for structure and longevity
- Cherry seed oil for comfort
That said, it does contain fragrance, peppermint oil, and menthol, which could be irritating for sensitive or reactive skin types.
Charlotte Tilbury
Charlotte Tilbury’s ingredient list leans more skincare-focused:
- Multi-molecular hyaluronic acid for hydration and plumping
- Collageneer (lupin seed extract) to help smooth the skin
- Nourishing oils like castor seed oil and sunflower seed oil
It’s also vegan, cruelty-free, and free from many common irritants, making it a safer bet for sensitive skin.
Who Each Blush Is Best For
Choose Dior if:
- If you like no makeup makeup
- If you like the clean girl aesthetic
- You prefer a dewy skin-like glow
- Fragrance doesn’t bother your skin
Choose Charlotte Tilbury if:
- If you like no makeup makeup
- The clean girl aesthetic
- If you like Charlotte Tilbury’s signature angelic makeup aesthetic
- You love a glowy finish
- You like multi-use products
Is Either One Worth the Splurge?
Both blend well, look nice on the skin, are long-lasting, and have nice packaging.
Dior feels more editorial—minimal, refined, and effortlessly chic. It’s the kind of blush that quietly elevates your makeup without screaming for attention.
Charlotte Tilbury feels more indulgent and immediately flattering. If you love glow, softness, and that signature Tilbury “angelic” effect, then you’ll like this one.
There isn’t a huge price difference between the two; the Charlotte Tilbury blush retails for $57, while the Dior blush comes in at $59. You don’t need both, but knowing which finish you gravitate toward (and even which brand you prefer) can make the decision easier. Personally, I lean toward the Dior Blush Stick because I love the dewy finish and how it makes my skin look healthy and youthful.
