If you’re into glowy skin and spend any time on TikTok, you’ve probably seen the Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint floating around, mostly because it’s the one Hailey Bieber keeps wearing. And honestly, if Hailey puts it on her face, the internet pays attention.
I get to test a lot of products in my job as a beauty editor, so I was really curious to see if this one actually deserved the hype. I’ve been wearing it on regular makeup days, no-makeup makeup days, and even on days where I just wanted to look alive on Zoom, and I definitely have thoughts. Here’s how it wears, who it’s for, and if it’s actually worth the money.
How It Wears:
The Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint lives up to its name. It’s very hydrating, provides light coverage, and makes the skin look fresh and healthy. The finish is glowy and dewy, and looks so smooth on the skin. On my skin, it made my complexion look even, smooth, and naturally radiant without ever looking heavy.
It is long longlasting however, it does get oily maybe within three hours. To avoid looking oily I apply both loose powder and setting powder. It does have a strong fragrance (which I personally don’t love).
Key Hydrating Ingredients
The formula includes ingredients that support hydration and a smoother texture:
- Glycerin: humectant that pulls in moisture
- Meadowfoam Seed Oil: helps soften and condition skin
- Squalane: lightweight, barrier-supporting hydration
- Shea Butter Extract: adds nourishment and slip
- Sodium Hyaluronate: form of hyaluronic acid for hydration
Who Would Like this Product?
This is a great pick for anyone who wants hydration and glow without the heaviness of a foundation. Specifically, it’s ideal for:
- Dry or dehydrated skin types
- People who prefer natural, skin-like makeup
- Fans of the “no-makeup makeup” look
- The clean girl aesthetic crowd
- Anyone who doesn’t care about having medium or full coverage
- People who want their skin to look healthy, dewy, and smooth
Is It Worth The Money?
Yes, I think the Hourglass Veil Hydrating Skin Tint is worth the money, especially if you love a hydrating, natural finish. It’s one of my favourite skin tints because of how healthy and glowing it makes the skin look without feeling heavy.
Reminder: this is more of a luxury/base product with a skincare-like finish, not a full-coverage foundation ,so you’re paying for that grade-A formula and glow factor.
If you’re interested in a more affordable alternative, the L’Oréal Paris True Match Nude Tinted Serum is a great option. It gives a similar natural, skin-like look, though it’s not exactly the same in texture or finish, but definitely worth considering if you want a lower price point.
