Some makeup products come and go, while others stick around for years for a reason. The NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is definitely one of them. It first launched back in 2013, and somehow it’s still one of the most talked-about concealers in beauty. Celebrities love it, makeup artists swear by it, and it’s been a Sephora bestseller for what feels like forever.
I remember attending a masterclass in Toronto in 2023 with Sir John, Beyoncé’s longtime makeup artist, and one of the products he used on the models was the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. Seeing him use it reminded me why this concealer has earned such a loyal following over the years.
I already had it in my collection, but if I’m being honest, it had been sitting in a drawer while I tested all the new concealer launches that seem to come out every other week. So I pulled it back out to see if it still deserves a spot in my makeup bag—or if newer formulas have finally taken its place. As a freelance beauty editor who gets to test a lot of makeup, I love revisiting cult favourites to see if they really stand the test of time, and this one has definitely earned that second look.
How It Wears:
The first thing I noticed when I started using the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer again was just how lightweight it feels. It has a thin, creamy consistency that blends into the skin really easily and gives medium, buildable coverage. It has a subtle blurring effect that smooths everything out, covers discoloration, and brightens the under-eye area without looking heavy or cakey. The finish sits right in the middle—not too matte and not too dewy—which is probably why it’s such an easy concealer to wear every day.
It also wears really well. Once it’s blended in, it lasts all day with very little fading or creasing, and I love how it evens out my skin while still looking like skin. My only tip is to make sure your under-eye area is nice and hydrated before applying it. Even though it’s a creamy formula, I found it dries down a little faster than I remembered, so I like to blend one eye at a time before it sets.
Who Would Like This Product?
I think this is one of those concealers that works well for almost every skin type. Whether you have oily, combination, dry, or even mature skin, the lightweight formula and soft-focus finish help smooth the look of the skin rather than emphasizing texture. It gives enough coverage to even out the complexion while still looking natural.
That said, I would recommend making sure your skin—especially your under-eye area—is well hydrated before applying it. Because the formula sets fairly quickly, it performs best on moisturized skin and is less likely to cling to dry patches or dehydration.
Is It Worth The Money?
Yes— it’s worth the money. There are so many concealers on the market these days, but this is one I know I can always rely on. It has a natural-looking finish, wears well throughout the day, and just does what you want a concealer to do.
If you’ve been on the hunt for a concealer that actually works for your skin, I’d say this one is definitely worth trying. It might not be the newest launch getting all the attention on TikTok, but there’s a reason it’s been around for so long. It’s simply a really good, reliable concealer that I can see myself reaching for again.
