Welcome to The Lip Balm Chronicles—your go-to guide for keeping your lips hydrated and nourished, because nobody likes dry, chapped lips.
This is the first edition of my Lip Balm Diaries, where I put lip balms to the test to see if they’re truly worth the hype. And what better way to kick things off than with the Dior Addict Lip Glow Balm? It promises hydration, a custom flush of color, and that effortless, “your lips but better” glow. But does it really live up to the hype? Let’s find out.
How It Wears:
From the moment I applied it, I immediately noticed the hydration. The formula, enriched with shea butter and cherry extract, delivers a nourishing feel that’s hard to miss. I tried the shade Raspberry and absolutely loved how it looked on my lips. The formula is designed to adjust to the pH of your lips, creating a personalized color with a soft, natural glow—and it did exactly that.

Here you can see what the shade Raspberry looks like on different skin tones and how it adjusts the pH of your lips. It will look slightly different on everybody, however the shades have their own pigment. Check out how the shade raspberry looks like on my medium skin tone below.
It has a light minty scent, which instantly reminded me that I have tried this Dior Lip Balm before. In fact, I must have finished mine because I couldn’t find it anywhere! If you’re sensitive to fragrance, don’t worry—the scent isn’t overpowering.
Who Would Like This Product?
Anyone who’s a fan of Dior Beauty will love this product—after all, Dior rarely misses when it comes to makeup. If you appreciate both makeup and skincare, this is a great addition to your routine. It also makes a perfect gift; it’s luxurious, beautifully packaged, and it’s wearable.
This balm is also suitable for all skin tones. Dior recently expanded their shade range, offering a variety of warm and cool undertones, so there’s something for everyone.
Is It Worth The Money?
If you struggle with dry, chapped lips, do you absolutely need to run out and buy a $54 lip balm? Not necessarily. However, if you’re looking for a luxurious beauty item that keeps your lips soft, smooth, and hydrated—while also looking effortlessly chic when you pull it out of your handbag—then yes, it’s worth it. Personally, I love it.
